The Who We Are Project hires Sarah Boyd as Programs Director
The social justice and narrative change nonprofit, The Who We Are Project (TWWAP), is pleased to announce Sarah Boyd as the first full-time Programs Director. Sarah joins the organization as it begins preparations for rapid growth and development in our efforts to capture and preserve the nation’s history of anti-Black racism.
Sarah brings more than a decade of expertise in talent development, adult education, and human-centered program design. With experience spanning startup, enterprise, and social impact organizations, she has partnered with individuals at every level to design innovative ecosystems of learning that nurture the potential she believes is inherent in each of us.
“Education, knowledge, and learning bridge the gap between who we are and who we aspire to be,” Sarah shared. “I’m incredibly inspired by what the TWWAP team has built and am thrilled by the opportunity to continue building with those who have shown such a deep commitment to educational advocacy. Together, we can give our communities the knowledge needed to build bridges toward the future we all deserve.”
A community builder to her core, Sarah is also the Founder of The Formation; a social-impact initiative that equips Black working women with the tools needed to strategically advocate for themselves and disrupt harmful workplace norms.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys curling up with a good book, spending time with her family, and volunteering with local organizations that serve at-risk youth.
The Who We Are Project is a nonprofit organization challenging the dominant narrative of our nation’s founding, demonstrating how anti-Black racism was and remains a central part of U.S. history, and working to promote education, discourse, healing, and change.
